BEAVERTON, Ore. – The City of Beaverton invites residents to attend an open house on Thursday, Aug. 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Beaverton City Library, Meeting Room A (12375 SW 5th St) to share input on active transportation in Beaverton. There is no formal presentation, stop by at your convenience during the two hour opportunity to learn more and provide feedback on the plan.
Helping people get where they need to go safely and efficiently is a top priority for the city. The active transportation plan will promote walking and biking in Beaverton and help set a foundation for developing well-connected, attractive bike and pedestrian networks that are safe, convenient and user-friendly for people of all ages and abilities, whatever mode of transportation people use. With the development of this plan, Beaverton will become a better place for people traveling by bicycle, on foot, by wheelchair, or accessing public transit.
