Purpose:  To update the previous Beaverton Demographic Profiles study and provide a statistical and graphic interpretation of demographic changes in Beaverton and surrounding areas from 1960 to the present.

Content and Sources:
Data – Mainly from the U.S. Census, from 1960 to 2000
Maps – RLIS Lite Census geographies and orientation features such as roads
Graphs – Mainly time series graphs of census tract data
Text – Interprets changes over time, spatial patterns, and relationships between variables

Features of Study:
Demographic Focus – Broad spectrum of demographic variables
1960-2000 – Continuous data series from 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, and 2000
1990-2000 – 2000 census data allocated to 1990 geography for trend mapping
