Beaverton residents are invited to choose the movies that will be shown at the City of Beaverton’s 5th Annual Flicks by the Fountain series powered by Comcast.
An online survey is available for you to vote for the movies that YOU want to see in the summer of 2008.
Flicks by the Fountain is an outdoor movie series that will be held on four consecutive Friday evenings in Beaverton City Park (across the street from the Beaverton City Library) beginning on Friday, August 1st.
Place your vote for your favorite movie in each category—all movies are rated G (general audiences), PG or PG-13 (parental guidance suggested). The movie in each category that receives the most votes wins and will be shown as part of the Flicks by the Fountain outdoor movie series this August.
Voting begins on Tuesday, April 1st at 8 a.m. and closes on Friday, May 30th at 5 p.m. The movie selections will be announced in June following the completion of the voting process. Only one vote per email address will be accepted.
Every August movies are shown at Beaverton City Park (located across the street from the Beaverton City Library) on an inflatable movie screen that measures approximately 50 wide by 30 feet tall. This movie series is becoming quite popular, and attendance has reached as much as 1,500 people for one event! This is a free event for the community, with plenty of parking and plenty of seating (Hall Blvd. is closed for this event and the movie is still easy to see and hear from in front of the Library).
