Meeting Schedule & Contact Information | Meeting Agenda/Minutes
The mission of the Citizens with Disabilities Advisory Committee is to represent the citizens of Beaverton as advocates for persons with disabilities. Advocacy includes providing public education and awareness programs, reviewing City funded services and activities, act as a resource for government agencies, service providers, and the general public when the needs of persons with disabilities are to be addressed.
Brought to you by City of Beaverton’s Citizens with Disabilities Advisory Committee
The City of Beaverton was the first City in the State of Oregon to participate in the Model Accessible Cities Project.
Independent Living Resources, the Oregon Disabilities Commission, and the Northwest Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center are sponsoring the project. The purpose of the project is to work with Cities in the State who are leaders in making their Cities accessible to all citizens. The project is based on developing working partnerships with the business community, the City, and the City’s residents.
The Citizens with Disabilities Advisory Committee has chosen the goal of increasing accessible parking and access to restaurants by providing free site evaluations and education to places of public accommodations in the City.
If you would like more information about this project or would like a free evaluation, please contact Brad Roast at (503) 526-2524.
