The Oregon Disabilities Commission’s ADA Implementation Task Force, in conjunction with other organizations, is sponsoring the Model Accessible Cities Project of Oregon. Beaverton is one of the Oregon Cities participating in this project to make our City more accessible for our citizens and visitors. The City of Beaverton’s Citizens with Disabilities Advisory Committee (CDAC) previously surveyed parking areas for adequate and appropriate handicapped parking as part of the Model Cities Project. Now the Beaverton CDAC would like to survey the City to determine if our eating establishments meet the ADA guidelines.

To meet the goal of the CDAC in assisting restaurant owners and managers in providing accessible dining to all citizens in our community, we are asking for your help in identifying where possible access problems exist. If you have had an access problem at any eating establishments in the City of Beaverton we would like to hear about it. Please complete a separate survey form for each restaurant in which you noticed an access problem. Questions can be directed to Brad Roast at (503) 526-2524. Visitors are also welcome at the monthly meetings of the CDAC. We meet on the third Thursday of each month in the City Hall Council Chambers from 3:30–5:00 p.m.
