Community Development - Development Services

The Development Services Division, sometimes known as “current planning”, is responsible for guiding the physical development of the City including all public and private development projects. The Division achieves this by implementing the Comprehensive Plan and Development Code.

The Division reviews development proposals to determine if the proposed development will be a use that is permitted in the subject zoning district and meets site development standards such as building setbacks and building height.
