For a Permit
The first step is to speak with one of the planners at the Development Services Counter. They can help you identify the types of application(s) your project will require. They will also help you identify whether a Pre-Application Conference will be required. Once you know which application(s) you will need, you can either pick up copies from the counter staff of download them from Land Use Applications.
Comment
On a Proposed Development
You may submit written comments to the Development Services Division by mail or email. Some development proposals also include the opportunity to come to a public meeting and speak to the decision-making body.
Find
My Property Lines
The Development Services Division has maps available which may be of general assistance in locating the property lines. The Building Division may have a plot plan which shows where your house sits on the property in relation to the property lines. However, the City does not offer lot line locating services. If you have additional questions about where your property lines are located, you may wish to hire a private licensed land surveyor.
The Zoning Designation of my Property
Open one of the city’s Land Use and Zoning Maps and use the Acrobat Reader zoom tool to get a closer look at the area in question. If you have questions about a specific property, please contact us at (503) 526-2420 or send an email to cddmail@ci.beaverton.or.us and a planner will answer your zoning questions. Please have the property address or map and tax lot number ready when you contact us so we can better assist you.
