Since 2002 the Partners have been working together to develop a Statewide Planning Goal 5 update for fish and wildlife habitat protection. The Goal 5 update process has three main components in compliance with state law.

1. Inventory of the resource(s),
2. Analyze the Economic, Social, Environment, and Energy (ESEE) consequences related to the inventoried resource(s), and
3. Develop a program to protect the resource(s) after considering the ESEE consequences.
