Metro, our regional government, adopted a regional natural resource protection program on September 29, 2005. Metro’s program includes the Tualatin Basin Program as part of the overall approach to natural resource protection in the metropolitan area.

State review of the Metro program should be completed Fall of 2006. Through an inter-governmental agreement the Partners have up to 60 days after state adoption of Metro’s program to implement changes to individual codes and plans. It is estimated that local plan and code adoptions by the Partners need to be complete by the end of the year 2006.
