The City of Beaverton, as a member of the Tualatin Basin Partners for Natural Places (Partners), is working toward allowing and encouraging a number of development practices to sustain and improve the quality of wildlife habitat and surface waters throughout the Tualatin Basin.
The Partners is a coalition including Washington County, Washington County cities, Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD), Clean Water Services (CWS), and Metro. Formation of the Partners was spurred by a Metro initiative to meet federal and state requirements for protecting natural resources throughout the three-county metropolitan area.
Policy decisions that direct the work of the Tualatin Basin Steering Committee (TBSC) are made by the Tualatin Basin Natural Resources Coordinating Committee (TBNRCC). The TBNRCC includes elected officials from each jurisdiction.
