  • Energy EfficiencyBCP saves energy equal to the annual average electrical use of more than 160 homes. When the Round is complete, the annual electrical savings will exceed 300 homes.
  • Greenhouse Gases—As a result of operating efficiencies, BCP currently reduces CO2 emissions by 900 tons annually.
  • Stable Pricing—Despite the rapid rise in utility rates over the last several years, BCP heating and cooling prices have increased only 3% annually.
  • The BCP System includes nearly a mile of underground and in building pipe which holds nearly 20,000 gallons of water in the closed loop system.
  • Expansion—As the Round is completed the BCP system will grow to serve all buildings. Current system expansion is funded by the Oregon Department of Energy.
