Seven-Day “Grace Period” on Arraignments

For the initial arraignment the Court allows a seven-day grace period from the date written on the bottom of the citation. The eighth day after the date on the citation you are eligible to be suspended.

If you have appeared and been given another date or if you have requested a court trial, those hearings do not have any grace period.

Failure to appear can result in a suspension of your driver’s license.
