The Dispute Resolution Center is continually looking for people interested in serving as mediators. Mediation training is free for citizens who agree to volunteer with the Center for a minimum of one year for approximately 2–3 hours per week. Participation may include case intake, case management, table mediation, group facilitation, program development, and outreach to the community.

To become a volunteer mediator apply online by linking to Current Volunteer Opportunities. There are a limited number of positions available so admission to the training is competitive. Applications will be subject to an initial screening and a limited number of candidates will be interviewed. If you are interested in finding out more information about becoming a volunteer mediator please contact the Center at (503)526-2523.
