On Saturday, June 27th the Highland Neighborhood Association Committee (NAC) held a rummage sale to benefit the Sunshine Pantry. Frank LeClerg, assistant Pastor of Evergreen Presbyterian Church and Highland NAC members organized the sale. Donations were accepted on Friday, June 26th and the sale was held the next morning. Smaller items were sold at Hearthstone Assisted Living Community of Beaverton and larger items were sold at Evergreen Presbyterian Church. The Evergreen site sold approximately $400 worth of donated items and over $800 worth of items were sold at Hearthstone, an impressive feat considering many of the items were priced at a dollar or less! If you missed the rummage sale and would like to join the Highland NAC in supporting the Sunshine Pantry by making a donation call 971-506-7827.
