2009

In 2009, the Vose NAC sponsored a Cycling For Kids and Parents Event that was a collaboration between the Vose NAC, Washington County Bicycle Transportation Coalition (Washco BTC), Team Northwest Tandemonium(TNT), Vose Elementary School, Trauma Nurses Talk Tough, and the Beaverton Police Department’s Bike Patrol. The project received financial support from donations and a Neighborhood Matching Grant from the City of Beaverton. Over 48 bicycles and 80 helmets were given away to kids and families in need. Nine children were also provided with certificates to receive a bike when one is available from Washco BTC. Winners were selected by Vose Elementary School and the Vose NAC after students submitted essays and poems about why they wanted a bike. The event also included traffic demonstrations in the parking lot and a short bike ride through Beaverton’s neighborhood streets. Other community members who attended were fitted with helmets and had their bikes inspected.

2007

In 2007, the Vose NAC assembled holiday gift boxes of food and gifts for twenty-five low income families in the neighbohorhood whose children attend Vose Elementary School. The NAC partnered with the Vose Elementary School and Southminster Presbyterian Church to put together the boxes. Financial support was provided through the Neighborhood Matching Fund Grant Program.

2006

In 2006, the Vose Neighborhood Association Committee collected and distributed school supplies and backpacks for children attending Vose Elementary School. The Committee applied for the Matching Fund Grant from the City and received $350 for the project.

2005

In 2005, the Vose Neighborhood Association Committee designed and had printed four signs to advertise monthly NAC Meetings. The Committee applied for the Matching Fund Grant from the City and received $320 for the project.
