A resident of Beaverton for approximately 10 years, Amy, her husband and 3 cats live in the Central Beaverton Neighborhood (NAC).  Asked why she entered this year’s contest, she said “I thought it would be an easy and fun thing to do.”  Congratulations Amy!  Amy will receive a fun basket of local Beaverton gifts and be featured in this year’s Beaverton Celebration Parade on Saturday, September 13th.

Winner of Parade Theme Contest Announced

Joe Gonzales is the winner of the 2007 Parade Theme Contest. Our annual contest offers the public the opportunity to name the theme for Beaverton’s annual parade. The Parade Committee reviewed numerous submissions and decided that Joe’s entry, “50 years: Everything is Golden” was enthusiastic and perfect for celebrating Beaverton’s Celebration Parade’s 50th anniversary.
