Horizontal & Vertical Control Index

Horizontal and Vertical Control Index is a map based inventory of control in the greater Beaverton area. To use the index you must navigate around the map, find and note the name/number of the control point you are interested in and then double click on the point’s symbol. You will then be linked to further information about the point.

Due to limited resources, each control point site has not been visited. Expect to find a number of the points destroyed or damaged. If you encounter such a situation or discover other problems with the index, please notify the city and the point will be removed from the index. Phone: (503) 526-2269.

It is assumed that all information obtained from this site will be used in the context of accepted surveying and engineering practice. All uses and acceptance of this information should be subject to sound professional scrutiny and judgment. The City can assume no responsibility for its accuracy or use.

Anyone who has not visited the Washington County Surveyor’s Web Site for research, Surveynet, should definitely do so.

Software Required

To successfully use this Web page you will need several different software packages loaded on your computer. This software will typically be plug-ins for your browser.

You will need:

1. A viewer for tif type digital images.
2. A viewer for pdf type files.
3. A viewer for dwf type files.

Map Symbols

• Open circle = elevation only
• Open circle with cross = horizontal only
• Open circle with cross with two quads filled in = horizontal and vertical

• Map one (DWF): greater Beaverton area with section grid and street right-of-ways.
• Map two (DWF): greater Beaverton area with section grid and main streets only (fast load).
• Map three (DWF): greater Beaverton area with section grid only (fastest load).
