Recycling Tote Bag

It is required that Oregon complex managers provide recycling opportunities to residents. If you are not aware of the opportunity to recycle at your complex, please contact your manager or City Staff. Most Beaverton communities are taking part in the “In The Bag!” Program.

Most Beaverton complexes are able to mix the following items all together (commingling) in the recycling container

  • Cardboard
  • Paper (ALL types, but not anything that has touched food or bodily fluids)
  • Tin
  • Aluminum
  • NEW! Plastic Bottles, Tubs and Buckets

Glass is treated differently and MUST be kept separate from the other listed materials. Glass containers are available at many complexes. Please look for a cart that is labeled for glass recycling. If you do not see this container, please request glass recycling from your property manager.

Read the Recycling Made Easier “In The Bag!” Booklet (PDF) to learn more about recycling preparation.

If garbage or recycling service is not available to you at your building or if you want to improve your options, please let us know.

For additional resources, please visit the Resident’s page, the Property Manager’s page, or the Resources page.
