What is an RSS Feed?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a technology that allows users to subscribe to “feeds” and get automatic updates from multiple Web sites whenever new content is published on these sites. It acts like a personal Web reader by checking your selected sites regularly for new content. This reduces the amount of time users spend searching for new content on the Web.

How to use RSS Feeds

To use a site’s RSS feature, an RSS reader is required.

Some browsers have RSS capabilities built-in (Firefox, Opera, Safari, Internet Explorer). Some browsers, including Firefox and Safari, automatically pick up RSS feeds. You can also use one of many third-party applications.
