Please remember that tax scams take many different forms. Regardless of whether you had your taxes prepared for you, or did them yourself, stay vigilant against fake IRS phone calls and e-mails. The real IRS will never initiate contact with you by phone or e-mail to ask for your personal or financial information, or call you to demand immediate payment. You can report tax scams to the IRS directly at www.IRS.gov.
