Thanks to your generosity:
-- More than 500 toys
were collected at eight locations: Beaverton City Hall, Beaverton City Library, Murray Scholls Library, The Human Bean (Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy), Umpqua Bank (Barnes Rd, VeggieGrill (Cedar Hills Blvd), Little Pixels, and EcoBinary in addition to the Beaverton Tree Lighting on Dec 6.
-- Over 1,200 pounds of food
was collected at City Hall, Beaverton City Library, and the Beaverton Farmer’s Market.
--175 gift cards, totaling $1,506, were collected for homeless youth during winter break.

The Tualatin Valley Gleaners distributed the toys and food through their Baskets of Joy program to more than 400 low-income families, including more than 800 children on Dec 21.

A special thank you to the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board and the Kiwanis Club of Cedar Hills, for their help in collecting gift cards this year.

In addition, the city would like to thank the Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy locations of Sesame Donuts, Noodles and Company, and Einstein Bros Bagels, as well as the Beaverton Sub Station, Togo’s Sandwiches, Albertson’s (Hall Blvd), and the Five Oaks Triple Creek and Sexton Mountain Neighborhood Association Committees for their generosity, helping to make Beaverton the best of Oregon.
