The Tualatin Valley Gleaners distributed the toys and food through their Baskets of Joy program to more than 400 low-income families, including more than 800 children
on Dec 21.
A special thank you to the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board and the Kiwanis Club of Cedar Hills, for their help in collecting gift cards this year.
In addition, the city would like to thank the Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy locations of Sesame Donuts, Noodles and Company, and Einstein Bros Bagels, as well as the Beaverton Sub Station, Togo’s Sandwiches, Albertson’s (Hall Blvd), and the Five Oaks Triple Creek and Sexton Mountain Neighborhood Association Committees for their generosity, helping to make Beaverton the best of Oregon.
Toys are distributed through the Tualatin Valley Gleaners to Beaverton's low-income youth and foster children throughout Washington County. Gift cards are distributed through the Beaverton School District's McKinney-Vento Homeless Program.
