Arbor Day 2019
On Saturday, April 6, 2019 40 trees, 6 - 10' tall, were planted at the corner of 142nd and Farmington. 2019 event also marked the city’s 25th year as a Tree City USA and 15th year as a Growth Award recipient. In celebration, the entire month of April 2019 is recognized as Arbor Month in Beaverton.

Arbor Day 2017
Hyland Park school on April 8, 2017. 40 trees were donated by Rigert Shade tree including: Big leaf maples, Douglas firs and sequoias. Planted by 50 volunteers, Friends of Trees and City of Beaverton Landscaping and Urban Forestry crew.
Arbor Day 2016
On Saturday, April 9, 2016 the City of Beaverton partnered with Friends of Trees to organize volunteers to plant native trees, shrubs and grass for the Hall Creek Enhancement project (CIP 3320). In 2012, Metro Council awarded a $354,304 Nature in the Neighborhood grant to the city to help fund the restoration of a 650-foot section of Hall Creek from SW 114th Ave to 117th Ave. The city planted 1,530 native plants and shrubs and 12,138 plugs of rush / sedge mix.
