Facade Improvement Program

The City of Beaverton Facade Improvement Program offers two components to assist downtown business and property owners with upgrades and enhancements to their commercial buildings. One is a grant for storefront improvements for businesses located within the core of downtown near Broadway, 1st & 2nd street. The other is a bank loan to help finance the cost of facade improvements available to qualifying businesses in the larger downtown area. Please see the specific details and requirements below for each of the two components.

In partnership with Columbia Bank, the City of Beaverton is offering financing for facade improvements in the downtown area. The program can provide qualifying property and business owners access to $5,000 up to $50,000. These funds can be used for individual facade improvements or to leverage the city’s existing facade improvement grant for businesses located in downtown (See map for boundary requirements).

Financing may be used to undertake projects as outlined for the grant above. Applicants can apply for a seven-year commercial loan directly through Columbia Bank.
