About the American Community Survey (ACS)

The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing statistical survey sampling a small percentage of the population every year. The ACS Housing Profile includes owner-occupied housing, mortgage, rental housing, and other ancillary data related to housing. The ACS Population Profile includes race, education, poverty, language, and employment related data.

Note:  The data provided in the following tables was generated using ESRI Business Analyst (a proprietary software application) using US Census data and other data sources to provide a profile of the city that conforms to Beaverton’s corporate boundary.  The data provided is meant to replicate characteristics specific to the City of Beaverton.  It should be noted, however, the data contained within these tables may differ from many population characteristics reported in other City of Beaverton publications and should, therefore, not be regarded as authentic in their official capacity to reflect many of the city’s reported characteristics.
