LONGEST DAY OF THE YEAR: A Summer Solstice Celebration

Portland Cello Project with their instruments posing for a publicity photo.

Living in the northwest, we develop a unique relationship with light and long for those summer days when the sun seems to never set. In this spirit, we are teaming up with the Beaverton Farmers Market to bring you a musical experience that celebrates the longest day of the year. Join us as we welcome the exquisite Portland Cello Project and special guests to the stage at City Park. Come down to fill your basket with some Farmers Market bounty, and then linger to listen to the sounds of summer. This event is free and open to all ages.

Portland Cello Project’s three part philosophy…

  • To bring the cello places you wouldn’t normally see it
  • To perform music on the cello you wouldn’t normally associate with the instrument
  • To build bridges between different musical communities through education, community outreach, and through collaboration with myriad artists

Visit Portland Cello Project, and get excited to celebrate the longest day of the year with us.
