Settler Way Waterline Replacements Project

Project Description: 

Replace 5,594 feet of 6-inch pipe and associated structures in the Robinson and Greenway No. 5 subdivisions built in 1976 and 1977. Utility replacement in these subdivisions will require multiple phases.

Two Week Look Ahead:

December 4 through 15, 2017 

  • Monday, December 4 - set up, unload fittings, bolt ups, inlet protection, locates 
  • Tuesday, December 5 - set up, bolt ups, no parking signs up 
  • Wednesday, December 6 - pipe delivery and staging, finish bolt ups 
  • Thursday, December 7 - main line install on Bradley 
  • Friday, December 8 - main line install on Templar 
  • Monday, December 11 - main line install on Burnett court 
  • Tuesday, December 12 - main line install on Keas court 
  • Wednesday, December 13 - main line install on Luelling place 
  • Thursday, December 14 - hot tap at Settler Way and SW Burnett lane, start main line at hot tap location to north on Settler Way
  • Friday, December 15 - main line on Settler Way

Project Status:

  • FY15/16: Conduct investigation to determine project scope and begin survey.
  • FY16/17: Complete survey, determine phasing, and complete design of Phase 1. 6-10-16: Completed base map by city staff. 12-14-16: Contract with CES to prvise base map for Greenway Ridge Townhomes. 12-16-16: 50% plans completed by city staff. Feb/Mar 2017: Potholing completed. 5-1-17: Greenway Ridge waterline replacement (CIP 4118) separated from CIP 4118A in order to ensure that Greenway Ridge was completed in the summer of 2017. 6-9-17: Design for CIP 4118 completed. 6-21-17: CIP 4118 advertised. 6-28-17: CIP 4118 mandatory prebid meeting held. Construction of CIP 4118 expected to be complete in the summer of 2017.
  • FY17/18: Design for CIP 4118A complete and project advertised on 9-20-17. Construction of CIP 4118A expected to begin in the fall of 2017 and be complete in the winter of 2018.
