The City of Beaverton is embarking on an update of the Development Code specific to sign regulation. Current sign regulations have not been updated for several years and do not account for the full array of signs types and technology available today. The goal of the update is to establish new regulations that reflect the needs of businesses, schools, and industry while promoting the type of signs and urban character that are consistent with community goals.
Update: May 9, 2017, the Beaverton City Council adopted the Planning Commission recommendation with minor amendments. New standards identified in Ordinance No. 4708 become effective on June 9, 2017.
