The Transit Oriented Area is poised to serve as a major component of Beaverton’s downtown. The City of Beaverton and BURA have spent significant energy, planning, and investment here in recent years and, as a result, the area is now ready to catalyze and support major redevelopment projects.
Projects include, but are not limited to, the redevelopment of the former Westgate theatre site as well as The Round and surrounding area.

This area is poised to serve as a major component of Beaverton's downtown as The Rise Central is under construction. More development in the Beaverton Central District, including the Beaverton Center for the Arts, Cedar Hills Crossing redevelopment and BG Food Cartel (food cart pod), will be vital to redevelopment in the area. The BURA only investment in a district parking garage will nurture further development.
The BURA allocation of funds for the five years is:
FY17-18 = $5,758,750
FY18-19 = $11,463,750
FY19-20 = $6,123,750
FY20-21 = $568,750
FY21-22 = $1,481,250
