[ARCHIVED] Fifth Annual Beaverton Night Market Now Accepting Vendor Applications

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Applications are now being accepted from food, craft and merchandise vendors for the annual Beaverton Night Market events. Vendors that sell products representative of cultures around the world are encouraged to apply for booth space.

The Beaverton Night Market celebrates its fifth anniversary this year with a multicultural evening of international food and craft vendors, as well as cultural performances on two nights Saturday, July 20 and Saturday, August 17 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The market, which has doubled in size since its beginning in 2015, is designed and hosted by the city’s Diversity Advisory Board and will be held at The Round (12725 SW Millikan Way), just off the Beaverton Central MAX stop.

The night market is a vibrant, intercultural event reminiscent of night markets experienced internationally. Exhibitors from many regions of the world represented in Beaverton will share handmade crafts and goods from their cultures. The night market seeks to provide economic opportunity to emerging small businesses and provide a low-cost, family-friendly event for people of all backgrounds.

The application period is now open and will close on Friday, May 17 at 5 p.m. Interested vendors should visit www.BeavertonOregon.gov/NightMarket to fill out the online application or download a paper application, available in English and Spanish. Vendors will be chosen by a selection committee and notified of their status by Monday, June 3. The selection criteria for vendors includes a preference for Beaverton-area business, unique cultural product offerings, previous market experience/preparation, and compatibility of the vendor’s mission with that of the market.

For more information, visit www.BeavertonOregon.gov/NightMarket, or contact the city’s Equity & Inclusion team at 503-526-2503 or equity@BeavertonOregon.gov.

The Diversity Advisory Board (DAB) exists to advise the city on equity and inclusion strategies that strengthen connections among diverse communities living in Beaverton and with city government. The board is composed of 13 regular members who are appointed for three year terms and up to three alternates.
