Project Homeless Connect Brings Free Services and Support to Individuals in Need

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Washington County Project Homeless Connect (PHC) organizes several one-day, one-stop events that are designed to connect individuals in need to services and support. The next event is Friday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sunset Presbyterian Church located at 14986 NE Cornell Road.

These events engage community partners and volunteers to provide dental care, vision screening, haircuts, food and clothing, and connections to needed housing and social services. PHC has already hosted four events this year, serving approximately 650 individuals experiencing homelessness.

Volunteers help with everything including client support and intake, food preparation and serving, and leading and assisting activities. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Kim Marshall at kim@phcwashco.org or visit www.handsonportland.org.

PHC is an opportunity to demonstrate broad community support to those experiencing homelessness in Washington County and to connect in a meaningful way. The City of Beaverton is an event sponsor.
