BEAVERTON, Ore. – This summer and fall, Beaverton City Library (12375 SW 5th St) hosts “Your Own Business 2019,” a series in which attendees learn skills related to starting and developing their own business.
The series kicks off with Basic Bookkeeping on Tuesday, August 6 and culminates with Import/Export Documentation & Procedures on Monday, October 21. Additional topics include Social Media Basics for Small Business and Nonprofit Strategic Planning: Why It's Important.

This workshop is a great review of things you need to get a handle on to help keep your business machine humming and less mired in non-productive work. Presenter Barry Robertson has more than 30 years of extensive experience as a financial and management professional in the hospitality and gaming industries. He has worked for several leading companies in these industries, spread over seven countries and four continents. Barry has been a volunteer mentor with SCORE Portland since 2009.
