Beaverton celebration parade accepting entries

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Get ready for Beaverton’s 63rd Annual Celebration Parade happening for the first-time in a virtual format this year.

This year’s parade theme is “Beaverton Together,” which encourages participants to share pictures and videos of the many interesting, unique, diverse and amazing aspects of our community through crafts, hobbies, performances, pets, vehicles, and more!

Individuals, families, nonprofit organizations, community groups and businesses are all encouraged to get involved. Pictures and videos of parade entries will be accepted Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 28.

Parade entries will be compiled into videos highlighting how we can still celebrate and come together virtually in these times of distancing. Videos highlighting the entries will begin being posted in September on the city’s website and social media channels.

Visit for more information and to submit entries.

“Beaverton’s Celebration Parade is an annual tradition that many look forward to each year,” said Mayor Denny Doyle. “Our community is welcoming, vibrant and diverse. Now is an especially important time to share what makes our city so special.”
