Safe Parking Pilot Program

The city is currently developing a Safe Parking Pilot Program that will provide a safe, legal place to park for people experiencing homelessness and living out of their vehicles. While no one should have to live in their car, providing a safe place to park can help families and individuals in this situation stabilize their lives and gain better access to services and employment.

What does a Safe Parking Program look like?

  • Centralized management of host sites and case management of guests through a contract with a nonprofit organization or individual consultant
  • Five host sites dispersed throughout the City of Beaverton offering legal car camping

The Safe Parking Pilot Program is expected to launch in early 2019!

How to Help

  • Identifying host sites in the City of Beaverton
  • Be a part of the Safe Parking Program by offering parking spaces
